I reached for my backpack, but then I remembered that I had accidentally handed it to the luggage Eyries. This was going to be a boring ride.
A Guide to Self Care During the Valentine Season
The season of love is upon us, and Neopians everywhere have been busy buying thoughtful gifts for their significant other, planning a romantic dinner or making sure they spend time together doing what they both love. It is the time to remind your loved one how much they mean to you and how grateful you are to have them in your life. However, not all Neopians have a special significant other to share these moments or gifts with. This should not stop them from enjoying the day of love nonetheless, because like most of us, it is very easy to forget how to love ourselves. So much emphasis is put on making sure the perfect gift is found for another, but why not treat yourself to something you want? Why not take yourself out to enjoy your favourite meal, not needing to worry if the Neopian you are with is also enjoying it as much as you? Why not partake in something that makes you happy? Many vendors at this time of year ensure they have plenty of... |

Flowers
You should get a Valentine Spyder! They took all the scariness of a normal Spyder away and replaced it with the sweet smelling, adorableness of a flower just for you. Unlike normal Spyders they are a little more prickly due to the thorns, but only on the outside. They are super soft and kind on the inside which is why their personality would fit so well with yours. You are similar with your tough exterior but mushy interior which is what makes you so easy to love. |

"A Valentine Surprise" by geneames1 Isca sat in the living room of the undersea home belonging to her sister, Caylis. For once, she was alone; Caylis needed a break and went out to hunt for shells for her extensive collection, which meant Isca finally had time to think without interruption. She gazed idly out of the window, watching schools of colourful fish swim by. Her mind was not on the fish, however. She was thinking about Valentine's Day. The holiday was fast approaching, and she hadn't gotten anything for Caylis yet. Isca sighed; maddening though Caylis could be at times, she was still someone Isca cared about deeply. But no matter how wide she cast the net of her thoughts, she couldn't come up with any ideas. Rising from her chair, she swam slowly around the house, looking for anything that might spark inspiration. Thanks to her influence, the abode was almost preternaturally neat - Caylis was a rather more scattered personality and tended to leave things lying around. Isca found one of Caylis's necklaces on the dining room table and decided to put it in her sister's room. Normally, she stayed out of Caylis's personal space, but since her sister was out, she felt it would be okay just this once. She picked up the necklace and swam into Caylis's room. Placing the necklace on the dresser, she turned and scanned the space. She noted approvingly that it was only mildly dishevelled - the bed was unmade, and the sand on the floor hadn't been raked, but other than that it was reasonably neat. Suddenly, she noticed something on the floor at the foot of the bed; her curiosity got the better of her, and she floated over to take a look... |
"A Bouquet of Sunflowers" by likelife96 The life of a squire was often too busy for Valentine's Day, but this year, there was nothing to do. Jeran's master was out on an errand; Hope River was boringly idyllic; and his friends were all dedicated to their loves, even Danner, who had managed by some strange faerie curse to find himself a Valentine.
Before heading out to his little date, Danner gave him a bouquet of sunflowers. "Here," he said, "I patched this up from my admirers. Figured you'd need help to put it to good use."
Jeran scoffed, wished him well, and went back to practising his combat forms. The bouquet lay on the wooden bench, the gynoecia of the sunflowers pointed straight at him like insectoid eyes until at last he became tired of his bee-like audience of one.
He resolved to rid himself of it. Valentine's Day couldn't have been that difficult, especially as an out-of-towner. He simply needed to find someone alone, hand them the flowers, and mysteriously walk off into the sunset with a wish for a happy holiday.
Even so, those he would have deemed prospective candidates--a scrambling, forgetful spouse, an entrepreneurial child selling wildflowers, a lone elderly widower, and other filter-feeding creatures of Valentine's Day--simply did not exist on this chilly afternoon. Everyone was either paired up or in with a group of their friends.
It was not until he traversed a wooden bridge past a small distributary that he found a candidate. The bridge was an inlet into the western part of the town, oft-traversed because it was the location of the town's smiths. The forges were already dark, and there was none of that familiar hammering or breathing.

"To Fix What's Broken" by precious_katuch14 The Desert Aisha sat by the fountain in the middle of the garden in the temple of King Coltzan I, watching everyone else pass by – initiates and novices hurrying toward their classes, bemedalled high clerics holding hushed conversations, librarians toting armfuls of scrolls, and apothecary workers hauling baskets of herbs and mushrooms. The Aisha wrinkled their nose as one Kiko bounced past with bundles of wild garlic. Smoothing out their tunic, they scanned the crowd. Then, at the sight of a Red Techo sprinting toward them, they smiled and raised a hand to wave at him. “Sorry, Abiyah,” the Techo said, breathing hard as he reached the fountain. “Master Yamanu suddenly called me to help him find one of the books he needs for his research.” “Is he still looking into…” Abiyah glanced away, furrowed their brow, and knotted their fingers together. “You know.” He sat down next to them, scooting so they were side by side. “Yeah. He thinks that in the ancient scrolls, there’s probably a clue on how our ancestors stopped the plague that destroyed my village and my family.” The Techo gave Abiyah a melancholy smile, prompting them to reach out and close their hand over his. “I’m sure you and Master Yamanu can find that clue so that plague doesn’t take anyone else. Anyway, don’t worry about being late, Velm. Are you ready?” They stood up and helped Velm up to his feet as well. “Of course. Oh, don’t look so sad, come on. This is our day off, remember? Where’s our first stop again? The newly opened grilled meat place? Or was it…” * * * Abiyah groaned softly as they staggered to their front door, stifling a yawn.

Things Change My life is close to perfect. I'm a purple Kacheek, I have a white Faellie named Fluffy, I live in a pretty big NeoHome, and I have so many Usuki toys that people beg to come over and play with me.
